Ok, can you believe this is my first time working on a party for a girl...Yay!! I was beyond excited when my friend Sofia asked me to stylish her daughter's Mia 2nd Birthday. Littler Mia is an adventurous little girl who loves Dora the Explorer, so naturally that was going to be the theme for her birthday. I started with the color scheme, which was pink and light blue. From there, I knew that I wanted this party to be girly and sweet like little Mia. I immediately thought about introducing some ruffles and flowers to the party decor. I used some streamers to create the ruffles you see on the bottles stand, treat bags, and the ruffle banner. I also made tissue paper flowers for the popcorn boxes and the backdrop. I got to say that I went a little crazy with the ruffles, and tissue paper flowers, but they just added that extra touch of cuteness to this party. I just simply love how everything came out!! I hope you like some of this ideas, and find them useful.

Oh yes, Dora and her backpack. Using it as a theme would be a hit in every little girl’s party. Your execution was really charming. Using pastel shades with the food and other party supplies gives me an idea of how sweet little Mia is. Did you do all these alone Karol? Your work is so inspiring.
