Super Kenneth 5th Birthday!

My son just turn 5 a few days ago. How is possible that I have a five year old is beyond me, but five it is. He wanted a superhero party like every other 5 year old out there. For his birthday my son had a spacial request. He wanted to be part of his party planning, OH MY!! I have to admit that at first, I felt kind of nervous because I was losing some control over this party , and I like things to be perfect and neat. But, then I thought that after all it was his day, and I wanted him to be happy. He actually did most of the cut outs that you see on the backdrop, and helped me preparing the Jellos and Oreo pops. He took every project so seriously, and did such a great job helping mommy. I'm so proud of my SUPER BOY!!

These are Oreo Cakesters, that I just dipped in yellow, red and blue sprinkles. They were delicious!!!

{Party Feature} Super Mario Bros Birthday Party

Last weekend we had an amazing time celebrating Zaylen's 3rd Birthday. His mom Carmen who is my sister in law, has an incredible talent to decorate parties. She created such a fun feel to every detail in this bright Super Mario Bros Party - from the cake table to the start cupcakes, and the original brown paper favor bags. Carmen, did a fabulous job executing every aspect of this party that i took some pictures to share with you all. So i hope you enjoy all of these many fun colorful ideas .

Explosion of colors

Hello again + welcome 2012. What happen when you handed out thousand of colored dot stickers to children?. Definitely you'll see an explosion of colors!. That's what The Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane did, transforming a simple white room into an extraordinary place. They created a plain white room and allowed the kids to express themselves by adding dot stickers everywhere including the furniture... not rules!. That must been an experience of a lifetime for those children. Don't you think? The moment I sow this, I decided to have some fun with my kids, and do something similar, but of course not on my walls. Instead, i handed them out lots of skittles to decorate daddy's birthday cake. We had such a fun time, and my hubby had a colorful and special birthday cake made with dots and dots of love.
